Reinette grew up on a dairy farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Before her feet could even reach the pedals, she was driving a hay truck in the fields and helping with the animals, learning firsthand the value of hard work and dedication.

When her parents divorced after 25 years, Reinette’s mother had 30 days to leave the family home and learn how to survive on a hairdresser’s salary. With the help of USDA Rural Development (formerly known as the Farmers Home Administration), her mother was able to find a place to live. Determined to help people like her mother, Reinette went to work for that same federal agency. After 27 years, she realized she wasn’t receiving the assistance she needed to make wise financial and retirement decisions and that other federal employees also were not receiving that help. She shifted to financial services, opening her own firm in 2018 to focus on helping clients achieve their retirement goals.

“I like taking the burden of dealing with an 800 number away from clients,” Reinette says. “When people talk to me, I want them to feel like they’re talking to a friend.”

Reinette earned her business administration degree with an emphasis in accounting from Mississippi State University. She holds life and annuity insurance licenses as well as the Federal Retirement Consultant (FRC) designation.

When not helping clients, Reinette loves spending time with her husband of almost 30 years, Eddie, their two sons, Clint and Aaron, and two rescue pups, Sandy and Ripley. She also enjoys exercising and reading.
